On Monday 14 December, the Learning for Indonesia Foundation participated in the 24 hours Serious Hackathon in Amsterdam organized by students from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. The purpose of the hackathon was to come up with ideas on how to provide education to children in conflict zones for Serious Request 2015. Rennie Roos gave a workshop about the possibilities of digital education in remote areas and afterwards coached several teams. It were exiting but also exhausting 24 hours which in the end resulted in great ideas by the students. The winning team came up with a self-made projector and website which enables groups of children to be educated by using only one smartphone. The LFI is proud to have been a part of this noble event and thanks the I am Core student association for organizing the event.
